Gen Z lawyers realise they’re stuffed

A raft of Gen Z lawyers are realising they’re stuffed as they’re increasingly directed by their bosses to use full sentences, punctuation, oxford commas, and correct grammar when drafting legal documents.

Many of the cohort, who relied on ChatGPT to get through uni, are now realising they’re on their own as open generative AI tools are banned in law firms.

“Like, for real, my boss has no rizz and is making me actually use full stops. That is just so pass agg for the client. And I don’t even know what to do with a comma, let alone one from Oxford,” said one graduate.

“No cap, my boss is delulu if she thinks I can string a sentence together on my own. It’s totally cringe.”

A law firm partner said Gen Z are bordering on insufferable, and he’s hoping AI will advance so much in coming years that the firm can just dispense with them altogether.

“Half the time I can’t understand what the grads are saying, let alone what they’re writing,” he said.

“We are just focussing on investing in our firm’s closed AI system so hopefully we can just cancel our graduate intake in the not-too-distant future.”
