Law Society regional visits kick off in southwest

June 26, 2025

The Law Society kicked off its regional circuit visit in June with a CPD and social event in Margaret River. More than 30 practitioners turned out from around the region, including Albany, Mount Barker and Busselton.

Michelle Bennett and Rein Squires, barristers from Francis Burt Chambers, delivered an engaging presentation on recent wills and estates cases, followed by Law Society President Gary Mack who ran a discussion with those in attendance about how the Law Society can better support them in their practice. It was fantastic to connect with our regional members on their home turf to discuss pressing issues, and ideas about further engagement and support.

A huge thanks to Amelia Englert and Greg Boland from the Busselton Margaret River Discussion Group for collaborating with us on this event, and to the Shire of Augusta Margaret River Council for hosting us at their premises.
