Tiffany Cosby interviews Michael Stork, 2026 Law Society Council member, to find out how he likes to spend his time.
What would an ideal weekend for you look like?
I really like country driving and adventures with the family. There is a bakery in York that does the best bee stings.
What’s a skill you’d love to learn?
I would love to be able to swim fast(er) and graduate out of the “slow lane” at the lap pool.
Which do you prefer, an infinity pool or a sandy beach? Why?
Definitely an infinity pool, somewhere sunny with a fruity cocktail. I spend enough time at the beach already.
Finish this sentence: Sometimes I’m quite …
Difficult. Sorry.
Name one thing on your bucket list
Once my teenage boys fly the nest I would like to live in an apartment with amazing views, and will do my best not to hassle the strata council too much.
What is your daily non-negotiable?
I need to buy my lunch each day. I like the flexibility. I can’t face knowing what I am eating for lunch when I leave home.
Where is a place you’ve always wanted to travel to?
I would like to drive from Perth to Cairns on “The Outback Way”. One day!
Describe your personal ‘brand’ in four words
A work in progress.
What food will always remind you of your childhood and why?
Schnitzels. A German grandmother explains that.
If you had a spare 10 minutes right now, how would you use it?
I would probably end up posting something on LinkedIn.
